Brain Dump ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it when you use our app.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google), the basic profile information they share with us. We also store the content you voluntarily add to the app: brain dumps, tasks, events, notes, study attempts, flashcards, reflections, and stress ratings.
Authentication is handled by our backend provider using secure industry-standard protocols (OAuth 2.0 and JWT sessions). We never see or store your password. Session tokens are stored locally in your browser so you can stay signed in between visits.
We use a small number of cookies and local storage keys:
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
When you use AI features (organize, reflect, tutor, flashcards), the text you submit is sent to an AI provider strictly to generate the response. We do not use your content to train models.
We do not sell your data. We only share data with the service providers required to operate the app (hosting, database, AI inference), and only to the extent necessary.
You can export, edit, or delete any dump at any time from within the app. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact support.
